A beautiful view overlooking the Cleveland skyline with even better food. The new restaurant, Summer House, has really outdone themselves. From the open concept, which opens towards Lake Erie to the modern decor, attentive staff and beautiful art work through out the restaurant by Shaun and Jen Kinley there was no detail overlooked.
From the moment you sit down you feel at ease. The employees are not only friendly but they are extremely observant and mindful throughout the whole course of your meal.
Each meal on the menu is carefully thought of and well decorated. The portions of the meals are designed for family style and each bite will leave you wanting more. I had the pleasure of speaking with Mr. George (the owner) and he said his favorite on the menu is Mikey’s Favorite. The aesthetic of the restaurant is summer which they have perfectly captured.
From the beautifully crafted wood tables to the textured tan upholstered booths to the azure velvet chairs you feel like you are eating at the beach of luxury.
With a wide variety of art including Kinley Studio’s coastal scenes to the underwater snorkeling paintings; art is a vibrant characteristic of the restaurant. The beautifully colored coastal paintings by Kinley Studios complement the restaurant's atmosphere.
The paintings extravagant colors match the same colors the sky makes at sunset (which you can see while eating dinner).
While speaking with Mr. George I was able to ask what he believes art offers to a space which then he stated “Art adds life to any area”. A true admirer of art.
Summer House has a charitable partnership with Awakening Angels. Awakening Angels is a non-profit group that is currently “funding biomedical research, educational initiatives, and social programs aimed at improving the quality of life for children and adults who are affected by Down syndrome and Autism.” More information about the organization can be found at SummerHouseCle.com or AwakeningAngels.org.
Between the scenic skyline views and the art any spectator will have a hard time determining which sights are the priceless ones.

Jennifer & Shaun
]]>Rudis commissioned paintings of famed wrestling legend Dave Schultz and current wrestling superstar Kyle Snyder. Wrestlers and fans collaborated by adding their artistic touches on the paintings and signing the canvas.
]]>Shaun has done collaborative paintings. These paintings are co-created by the people we've met on occasions, and who helped create beautiful masterpieces. Some contributors have never held a paint brush, while others are not as bashful and require less encouragement.
In the end, unique art has been created, with many collaborators who have taken part and signed the back of the canvas. A unique moment has been experienced, one of the transcending qualities of art.
]]>Shaun will be painting an original collaborative painting, so add a stroke or two of your creative genius to the new masterpiece!
The collaborative original painting from the 2016 show "Colorful Cleveland" will be sold in a silent auction. You may place your bid from feb 2 through feb 11 at 6:00 pm online at: www.biddingowl.com/kinleystudio and do not need to be present to bid or win.
And finally...the moving sale. We are offering a limited time 25% discount on existing inventory only at the home show. There will be a large selection of various sized retouched canvases and originals. So, now may be the right time to consider a purchase.
If you haven't been to one of these shows, it is definitely something work checking out. We always look forward to some fresh inspiration, especially this time of year!

Adding the right piece of art to your space might be just the thing
that inspires your next great piece of work.
1. Consider the Room:
- What is the purpose of the room, what takes place in the space
- Who will use the space
- What is your type of work/business
2. Consider the Wall Space:
- Measure the wall area. You may want one large piece or three smaller pieces per section.
- Curved walls, tight space, or heavy thru traffic? Vinyl murals may be a good option.
3. Consider the other decor in the room and greater space:
- Art and framing doesn't need to "match;" however, it should relate to its environment. Pieces can relate by either style or color, or blend eclectically if there is a mix.
- Not all art pieces require framing, including "gallery wrapped" canvases which have covered sides/edges.
- Maybe it's time to switch out or rotate one or two other furnishings or decor items.
4. If you are part of a work group:
- See if there is an art piece you all can appreciate. Art in communion!
- Consider commissioning an original work of art that each one can be a part of, either in the selection or design.
- Shaun has included others in collaborative art pieces, by asking them to paint some touches and sign the back of the canvas. These pieces are both personal and communal at the same time.
NOW the EXCITING part: Find what INSPIRES you and get going!
SEND US A PIC OF YOUR WORK SPACE!
